Wake & Bake

Baking has been a big part of Chef Simmy Jassal’s life from a young age. She embarked on a professional career after graduating from the Baking and Pastry Arts Management Program at George Brown College.

During this journey, she fell in love with French Pastries, packed her bags for France, and enrolled in the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie, one of the top Pastry Schools in France.

Once her training was completed, she worked at many bakeries in France. This is where Chef Jassal developed her love and taste for high quality ingredients and the balance of sweetness. She took her knowledge of French pastries and began infusing her creations with Indian flavours.

Chef Jassal believes that eating the perfect dessert is an emotional experience, evoking memories of the food we grew up with as children.
